Meet Sensi

Entrepreneur, professional kiteboarder & wingfoiler, and motivational speakerβ€”dedicated to spreading joy and empowering women everywhere to believe in themselves.

My Mission

I used to not believe in myself.

For over a decade, I traveled the world as a professional kiteboarder, all while running a badass sustainable swimwear company. My life looked really shiny on the outside. But inside, I spent way too much time doubting my influence and not believing in myself.

The truth is β€” we are each inherently worthy.

I believe every human on this planet has so much to offer.

It’s my mission to help others feel impactful, and worthy and that they are enough.

Core Beliefs

Why I do this work?

It took me a lot of personal development work to realize my own confidence. By uncovering our worthiness and learning to believe in ourselves, we will unveil a cascade of contributions that will vastly uplift and improve the world.

More confidence in ourselves = more love, impact, joy, contribution, connection, and community.

Imagine for a moment…

A world in which we believed in our inherent worth, understood that we had value and knew that we mattered. We would walk around shining our unique, incredible lights EVERYWHERE. ✨ We would raise the energy and vibration of the entire planet! We would generate more compassion for ourselves and for those around us. We would uncover peace. We would find fulfillment.

It’s a world that I believe is possible and that I strive to createβ€”and it all starts with learning to believe in yourself.

My very abbreviated but real life story…

My Family

Childhood

My upbringing was marked by time outside, athletic pursuits and playing make-believe. It was also marred by trauma. The first time my dad went to jail, I was just seven years old. My mom raised four kids, in the woods, by herself, while we lived off of food stamps. Yet, I remember it as a wonderful time. Mom did a fabulous job making my childhood fun and carefree and we focused on what was important: playing, learning, and growing. Then, my mom died when I was 16 years old. She was my cheerleader, and unfortunately, she passed away before my inner cheerleader developed.

Learned to Kiteboard

I took my first kiteboarding lesson in North Carolina’s Outer Banks and immediately fell in love. Just two years later, I applied to be a kiteboarding coach, relocated to the East Coast, and started living, sleep and breathing kiteboarding. This sport has given me so muchβ€”community, travel, growth and so many opportunities.

15 Podiums

Pushing women’s sports and personal boundaries

I competed in kiteboarding for over a decade and despite landing on podiums from the Philippines to Brazil, I never felt like I was good enough. I competed in the Kite Park League as a park-style kiteboarder and was one of the first women to push that side of the sport. I got featured in countless magazines and really made a name for myself in kiteboarding.

Launched Sensi Bikinis

In 2012, after losing one too many string bikinis in the surf, I founded Sensi Bikinis (soon rebranded to Sensi Graves Swim), a swimwear line that actually stays on in rough conditions. I started the brand before I believed in myself, which led to a decade of uncovering limiting beliefs, investing in personal development and growing my confidence.

30 Camps and Counting…

Launched Strut Kiteboarding

After spending years coaching and witnessing how many more men there were than women on the water, we launched a way for female kiteboarders and wing foilers to learn intermediate to advanced skills, meet other women in the sport and grow their confidence on the water.

Women Supporting Women

Personal & professional growth lead to first speech…

As I started sharing my story about not believing in myself, despite my life looking shiny and badass, more and more people began resonating with my message. After diving into personal development work, I learned that confidence is a skill that can be learned and I grew to become proud of myself. Today, I’m most passionate about helping people believe in themselves so that they can have more impact, uplift others, and spread awesomeness.
